Introducing Plato
Outdoor wall sconces have been one of Alva’s most successful categories. 12+ years ago, it was clear that there was a lack of high-quality Modernist wall sconces for exterior applications. We chose to embark on this category, we knew architects and designers were seeking fantastic sconces for their building facades.

We recently launched Sadie. Sadie is a clean, ultra-narrow, outdoor luminaire designed to provide architectural detail. While providing architectural detail it also provides:
Ambient secure light
Subtle grazing of wall surfaces
A narrow clean means to detail a façade
Sliver came after Sadie. Sliver is like Sadie yet provides minimal ambient light, more focused on architectural detail. Sliver allows the designer a sliver of light as a detail for the façade.
When you wish to use clean slivers of light to accent a building’s façade then Sliver is the correct choice.
Plato is a new concept. Plato is an outdoor sconce with a solid plate exterior. Hence, we are calling it Plato. Why choose Plato?

4.6” Wide
Narrow, quite narrow. Narrow outdoor fixtures are a current trend. Clearly designed to work with current architecture.
3” Depth
Shallow fixtures are in high demand. While ADA requires 4” specifiers are asking us to do better. With LED technology 3” is now possible.
Versatile
Plato works equally as well indoors. Fantastic for lobbies and corridors, any space where architectural detail is needed.

Hidden mounting hardware, countersunk screws and highest quality architectural grade paint available.
